Weather in Montpellier, France?

I'm going to study in Montpellier, France next semester from January to June and I was wondering what the weather is like during that time since it'll be way different from the Arizona weather I'm used to. Basically, I wanted to know what kind of jacket I should take. Any advice is much appreciated :)Weather in Montpellier, France?
Differences in temperature will vary according to where in Arizona you live.
Compared to Arizona, especially on the western side, temperatures in Montpellier are lower especially from January to April. In May it gets much warmer and it is hot in June so you would not need to wear a jacket for those months.
At the moment the temperature hovers around 9 degrees C and it gets colder in January so you would need a warm coat for that time of the year and clothes that you can wear in layers that you can peel off if you get too warm. It also is wet in the winter and early spring.
