Does anyone else notice that the weather this year in the US is colder than the previous years?

I live in Arizona and even people here are wearing jackets (which is quite unusual). I have a friend in Tampa, Florida who tells me that it is colder than it was in the previous years.

Also not to mention the weather in the Northeast which is brutal right now. Any explanation?Does anyone else notice that the weather this year in the US is colder than the previous years?
They say that Global Warming could also bring on a mini ice age.

43 degrees today in St Pete Florida

Going down to 32 tonight

With not let up all week.

It has most definitely gotten a lot colder in Florida during the winter
There are a couple of reasons for this. One is because we are in a general cooling cycle. The earth isn't a static place, and has warm and cool cycles

The second reason is that we are in a deep solar minimum. This means that there are fewer to no sunspots. As a result, there is less of the sun's energy making it to earth.

Here is a link to a NASA article on the deep solar minimum:

That is TRUE...Many times I waited for NEW YEAR at Disney only in shirt short sleeves, but feeling the cold weather in St. Petersburg (Tampa Bay) I did not go this year....!! Then, the Global warming is no true.
El Nino is effecting the weather in the United States this winter. I have lived in Pennsylvania for 50 years, this winter is the way winter used to be when I was young, the winters here have been mild for the last 10 - 15 years.Does anyone else notice that the weather this year in the US is colder than the previous years?
Well - things like this happen all the time. Unfortunately - overall - the forests of the NW are being destroyed by the bark beetles because our weather just ISN'T cold enough anymore. Our glaciers are also melting...

So enjoy your cooler weather while you can.
Global warming is the general long term trend (years).

Global Climatic Change would be a more accurate description of what is going on over shorter periods (months) and in more local conditions.

You should expect greater fluctuations in local weather conditions.
Last I heard the global warming advocates picked up on that before anyone else.
No, it's just getting colder everywhere! Orlando was only 18 this morning.
its all my fault, this is my punishment for moving back to virginia from sunny warm california. sorry to the rest of ya! my bad!
It should not be because of global worming witch is warming up the earth.
to me, where i live, it seems as though this is the hottest winter we have ever had!
Contrary to what global warming *maniacs* say, the CO2 levels are dropping. This promotes cold weather.

And also, get a jacket.
