September can still have days over 100 degrees. The nights start cooling a bit, but the days are hot.

Usually still in the 90's and some days has reached over the 100 degree point in September. My husband is a letter carrier out of Scottsdale and they record the daily temperature year round to make sure that the carriers drink enough and stay hydrated. He always mentions the daily weather and how many water bottles he goes through.
As a teacher, almost all students and staff remain in summer clothing in September.
