What are good reasons to live in Arizona?

I'm pretty interested in moving to Phoenix. What are some good reasons to move there? Some categories I would like to know about are: The weather, health issues (cold and flu season), the landscape (where are some green places to live where there are not mountains), entertainment, and so on. The weather is nice most of the year (chilly in the winter, but rarely before freezing), but super hot in the summer. It's often highs of 110-115 in the summer. But, on the bright side, it's nice swimming/pool weather. There's a cold and flu season here in AZ just like there is everywhere else in the country. As for landscape, Phoenix is all desert, there's no green areas. The only green places in AZ are in the mountains where there's pine trees. Unless you count cacti as green. There's lots of entertainment in Phoenix-it's a huge city....There's lots of sports teams located in Phoenix -Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey. I don't know...lots of malls, movie theatres, restaurants-the same sort of entertainment you find in any city.



Oh, PS, the poster above me has a good point. Phoenix is only about 5-6 hours from LA, 4 hours from San Diego, and I think 5 hours to Vegas. So, road trips over weekends happen a lot.What are good reasons to live in Arizona?
