I will be in Scottsdale. Would I need shorts and flip flops in the daytime? Are open sandals OK for night? My dates of travel are Nov. 17-23Arizona, end of November. What clothing would I need for daytime and evening based on the weather?
Casual with removable layers, it gets chilly at night, you gotta remember, you are acclimated to 115, so 45-50 is COLD! :)
Light casual clothing should be fine in the daytime, but there are surprizes, and the nights can get crisp, so bring light outerware to layer. Sandals are always okay unless it's rainy.Arizona, end of November. What clothing would I need for daytime and evening based on the weather?
You are arriving when Arizona finally ceases to be hotter than the hinges of the gates of Hades. And Scottsdale is a very nice area. Shorts are fine for the daytime, but the desert can get downright chilly in the nighttime, and you definitely would not want shorts or sandals then.
It depends on where you are coming from, and what is cold to you, I am from Arizona born and raised, I would wear pants and long sleeve or a short sleeve with light jacket or sweater, I also wear sandals all year around, but you might grab a pair of shoes and socks just incase.Arizona, end of November. Above suggestions sound about right, but we do get freak weather so can't really guarantee. The desert can get very cold at night and it is a different type of cold than you get in other types of environments. It's hard to explain but when I lived in areas where it snowed, the same temperature did not Feel as cold as it does in the desert. The chill here goes right to the bones, again it is hard to explain to anyone he has not experienced both.
If you plan to go out anywhere at night, most places in Scottsdale have dress codes and may not allow you in without closed toe shoes and office casual type dress.
I personally wear capris or shorts all year long. Bring a sweater or a jacket. One good thing about AZ is it's pretty casual
You probably will be chilly with flip flops and shorts.. My family lives there and everytime I've visited in Nov. its cold but hey you know our weather has been kinda of crazy the last yr. everywhr =) If you go near the Mts. like Prescott the temp. is usually colder than the other cities like Mesa, Phoenix, Tempe and surrounding cities. Depending on the season..in the summer its like California temp. in Prescott . Just bring clothes for either summer/winter hehe =)Hope this helps a bit..
