This is a professional meeting trip, but I'll driving around and I would really like to enjoy my 1st visit to Arizona.I am going to Scottsdale,Arizona in January '08, 1st time in that zone, how it is the weather?
It will be nice during the day, but temps during the day can vary from short sleeve weather to a cotton sweater weather.
At night, plan on wearing that sweater, and bringing a light weight jacket. I keep one in the backseat of my car, just in case I run out of gas and need to walk (at night).
Don't forget to pack sun screen. Even during the winter, you can get a sunburn if you are out sightseeing during the day.
Usually sunny, highs in 70's, lows in 50's, usually dry.I am going to Scottsdale,Arizona in January '08, 1st time in that zone, how it is the weather?
Its usually cloudy, 50s to 70s range
A jacket is all you really need
Weather here is really unpredictable. January should be one of the best times with cool to chilly weather for locals, most tourists from back east probably call it shorts weather though :-)
Last January, they had the Charity Run in January and all the participants came prepared for Sunny weather and wore shorts, only to have it really rainy and cold on the day of the run. Same thing happened with the golf tournament and pretty sure it rained ll through the Bowl last time too. I remember everyone on TV complaining they came to get some good weather, not wet and cold. BUT, the year before that, it was on the warmer side in January and no snow up North at all that year.
So, come prepared for warmer or chiller weather, but overall the weather won't be enough to keep you from enjoying yourself.I am going to Scottsdale,Arizona in January '08, 1st time in that zone, how it is the weather?
