What is the weather like in Arizona in July?

I'm going on vacation thereWhat is the weather like in Arizona in July?
We all seem to agree that the weather in July will be very hot. In addition it is also the start of Monsoon Season which lasts until the middle of September. The word monsoon means "A change in wind direction." So rather than our general weather pattern of winds coming out of the west, they shift and come out of the east and southeast. What that does is bring the moist air out of the Gulf of Mexico into Arizona.

The monsoons can bring sudden downpours and cause flooding. There are thunderstorms with hail and very high winds. It's not uncommon for gazebos and canopies in peoples backyard's to be shredded by the winds.

When you are here enjoy the warmth and pay heed to the weather warnings on the radio and TV. It can keep you out of harms way.
I hate for Tom to give such a lovely answer just for you to get here and find that Arizona in July is actually much more similar to the gates of Hell.

You know that horrible gust of hot air that hits you in the face when you open a gas oven at 375掳?

Its like that, but on your entire body.

Enjoy.
