What is the weather like over there in the summer?

I graduate from school in '09 and my parents are paying for my best friend and I to go to the UK for two months. Since I'm from Arizona, the weather is humid year round. And P.S can someone tell me what the currency is. Because I'm sure you guys reject American money.What is the weather like over there in the summer?
The weather over here is pretty unpredictable - a typical british summer consists of a few days of glorious sunshine, interspersed with weeks of rain, rain and more rain. So be prepared!

Weather depends on your luck. Very unpredicatable with some very hot spells and some heavy downpours.
