I've been planing to move to arizona when i turn 18 but i heard that it gets super hot in the summer and that the weather is horrible over thereIs Arizona a good place to live?
I can't think of anywhere in the country that doesn't have bad weather for at least 3 months out of the year. Even idyllic San Diego has overcast days that go on for weeks. Phoenix gets HOT in the summer, no question. From May to September, it hits over 100 most days. But as they say, "It's a dry heat". People laugh at that when it's 112, but it really does make a difference. I've been in Florida when it's only 90 degrees and I thought I was going to die because it's so humid. But in Phoenix, I can function just fine even when it's 115. It just feels like you're being hit by a giant blow dryer. Rarely any humidity, so you can breathe just fine and your energy doesn't get sapped. Your clothes don't stick to you, and your towels dry really fast. Plus everywhere you go is air-conditioned. And because the air is so dry, the temperature range is wider than most cities - it usually cools down to 80-85 at night. It's really very doable, and our winters are wonderfully mild and sunny when everyone else is wet and freezing!
Judging by the law they just passed uh yea I think it would be a great place to liveIs Arizona a good place to live?
There's about 100 days when you don't want to be a gardener or a roofing worker because of triple-digit heat. When that passes the weather's just super. Today it is around 80 degrees here in the valley. Southern California, along the ocean is just above 60 degrees, that's crummy weather for May. Give me Arizona.
Also remember that it is just the valley around Phoenix-Tucson that gets really hot. You can live in places like Flagstaff or Sedona which are at a higher elevation and are much cooler. Not all of Arizona is desert and cacti.
Yeah it's a nice place to live. It does get to be pretty hot during the summer but the summer nights feel really nice.Is Arizona a good place to live?
The middle of the summer feels like death, but the winters are awesome. This year hasn't been as hot as normal though..it has reached barely over 100 degrees. But I live in Phoenix. Flagstaff, Sedona, and Prescott are a lot cooler in the summer.
