I'd like to move somewhere colder. its like 120 degrees where i live in july and i'm getting tired of this. is it possible that i can acclimate to a new climate without suffering to much? also i'm not use to tornado's or hurricanes or blizzards is there a place in the united states that has weather conditions similar to arizona but doesn't get as hot? What is snow like and can i acclimate to it?
snow is absolutely nasty and nothing but trouble
It is cold, wet, ugly and dangerous to drive through
I have lived in a climate that gets lots of nasty snow each winter, and have never acclimated to it
Trust me, the 120 F weather is about a million times better than any snow. I have been to the desert southwest in the summer, and trust me it is about infinity times better than the even the mildest New England winter
Perhaps you should consider coastal California where doesn't get a s hot, but certainly not cold
or perhaps Albuquerque where it isn't quite as hot as southern and central ArizonaWhat is snow like and can i acclimate to it?
Texas, if you don't mind humidity. As long as you don't live on the coast you won't have problems with hurricanes, and only the panhandle has real issues with tornadoes. We see everything here, trust me. I have been out of school for a hurricane then nine weeks later get a snow day. Our snow here isn't like the north. We enjoy it because while it happens, it usually only comes a few times each winter in small, but decent amounts. We get heat but its usually doesn't get very far past 100 degrees, the hottest ever will be maybe 105 but the averages are in the 90's. However, October - April its nice.
Hurricanes aren't as bad as you think, our houses and building are built to withstand the weak ones. You may one hurricane every 3 or 4 years with one major (category 3+) every twenty or thirty years. Tropical Storms are more common though, maybe once every other summer but those bring more rain than wind and do no real damage besides floods. What is snow like and can i acclimate to it?
120? where the hell do you live the Sahara Desert? The Only place I can think of is Hawaii but its expensive as hell to live there.
