Should the NFL start considering putting the Super Bowl in cold climate cities from now on?

At first I didn't like the idea of a Super Bowl being played in cold weather, but I get sick of the Super Bowl being played in Miami, New Orleans, or Arizona all the time. Do you think they should start doing this from now on?

BQ: If you had to pick a cold weather city to host a Super Bowl, where would you pick?Should the NFL start considering putting the Super Bowl in cold climate cities from now on?
No. This is more than just a football game. Take into consideration the entertainment and the fans. If it turns out to be sub zero tempatures or a blizzard the multitudes will suffer. Also how about transportation and the like. If a day like the following February 10 2010 occurs the airports will be shut down and the driving conditions will be unsafe. They are taking a big chance on this possibly happening. In a warm weather city i.e. Miami, San Diego or Phoenix were this does not have a chance of ruining the day. This is a media extravaganza and is the biggest one day sporting event on planet Earth.
I think it would make it more dramatic. I would love to see a cold weather game. I agree that they need to switch it up. It`ll get more people interested in the game as a whole.

BQ: Most people won`t agree, but I`m going with Lambeau. The history of the stadium alone, makes it a great candiate to host the Super Bowl. LOL, I totally agree with you on the fact that Heinz Field would be the crappiest. BTW, I did see that Miami game when it was raining and the ball just plopped in the ground, LOL.Should the NFL start considering putting the Super Bowl in cold climate cities from now on?
If they can play conference championships in inclement weather, why not the Super Bowl? Football is supposed to be played in the elements. I live in Southern California, but I had the opportunity to see a Patriot game at Gillette Stadium in December a couple of years ago. It snowed heavily the night before and it was freezing at the game. I had a great time and the bad weather added to a great gameday experience.

Gillette Stadium is a great Stadium, and as much as I would like to see a Super Bowl there, I don't think it is ever going to happen.
how about a medium weather city.. seattle doesn't get too cold, and mostly it is rain, it has an open stadium but not something that is gonna get buried

I like the idea of spreading the superbowl wealth around to other areas, it will boost those cities financially and give people an excuse to go see and explore those cities even if they normally wouldn't have. plus stadiums are built to be showcased and that is the ultimate showcase, so let every stadium be seen even by the people who watch football one day out of the year, they may enjoy it more often.Should the NFL start considering putting the Super Bowl in cold climate cities from now on?
i like the idea of a cold weather super bowl although i do see both sides of the coin...some of the best games in the history of the nfl have been in cold weather ie the ice bowl the NY Giants Green Bay packer NFC championship game of a few years ago the Ice bowl etc etc... teams must play in the elements all season why not for the biggest game of the year? but then again on the other side the Super Bowl is far more than just a football game it is a week or even a two week event and most people that go to the super bowl go fro the even not just the game and it would be tough to have all the typical super bowl week ceremonies in a cold weather city, but i say why not....

As far as the cold weather city to host a super bowl i think there would be nothing better than the 50th anniversary of the big game just a few short years from now to be played at the most historic stadium in the NFL Lambeau Field
They HAVE to now.

There鈥檚 no way that they can justify not giving the Superbowl to other outdoor cold weather stadiums after giving the 2014 Superbowl to the Meadowlands Stadium in Jersey.

It鈥檒l take a while but eventually all NFL teams, including the warm weather teams will have domed stadiums.

Even though the states are supposedly warm weather states it CAN get QUITE chilly enough to affect the play of warm weather or domed stadium teams.

That鈥檚 PART of what happened with the Colts in SB44.

As the temperature drops, Peyton starts losing focus and his skill diminishes.
No. There's nothing wrong with having one once in a while, as a change of pace. But I wouldn't make a habit of it.

If I had to pick a cold weather city, I'd pick Minneapolis. Just because I'm a Vikings fan. I know the Metrodome isn't a beloved stadium, but I actually enjoy watching games there.
Im really not all that passionate about one side or the other right now but I guess I would have to be on the side of warm weather stadiums still.
personally I think they should bid on each year, 5 years at a time. But only once every 5 years so more teams get a chance
Only once every so many yrs...5, 10, or 15...and yea i get sick of it being in the same places.

Philly!
maybe once every ten years would be OK
