Tempe and East Phoenix are nice areas. Since Tempe is College town (ASU) there is a lot going on, and scottsdale is right up the street to. The weather really sux right now! but it gets bitchin during the winter.
Some things you should consider before moving :

1) Be prepared for extremely HOT weather, in the summer it can get up to 110 degrees in the winter the weather is usually around 60 degrees

2) Depending where you live, nightlife is pretty dead. There's always a few good concerts through out the year.

3) you will find that most people are pretty friendly but theres always strange people regaurdless of where you live

4) apartments vary depending where in the city you want to liveLiving in Arizona questions?
Affordable apartments, yes. Personally I prefer North Phoenix. Some like Tempe. Others think Scottsdale (aka Snotsdale) is the best place.

The weather is hot. They have two seasons, summer and pseudo-summer. It gets over 120 degrees every July 4th. And that is at the airport. Downtown is like 130. You have to see it to believe it.

The people I liked most were North Phoenix. That is why I moved there from Scottsdale. But I may not be typical. So ask others.

Check out www.apartmentratings.com before you rent. And don't get hooked on Crystal meth.

suerte.
You will find plenty. But keep in mind, most people don't understnad until they are here, but the Phoenix metropolitna area is like 12,000 sq miles. So there are tons of towns real close that you go to and live in to, like me; I live in Queen Creek.Living in Arizona questions?
