We may be moving to this city in BC, and we have DirecTV where we live in Arizona. the weather there is very sunny and clear nearly everyday. What is the preferred TV option here? Is cable the only way to go? Does satellite TV work? Who is the satellite provider?Does satellite TV work here in Vancouver?
Yes satellite TV can work, provided you have unobstructed views.
You have the options of Shaw Direct ( their satellites are about the same direction as DirecTV's), and Bell TV, whose satellites are a bit east of that, and harder to get out west because they are lower on the horizon. Telus Satellite TV is just Bell TV with a different label.
Don't discount cable or IPTV if they are options.Does satellite TV work here in Vancouver?
Satellite TV works here yes. I know a lot of people who have Shaw, and we recently moved to Telus. It depends on what kind of plans you're looking for etc. but I'm pretty sure Shaw is one of the more popular television brands (cable or satellite)
