Has anyone else been getting abnormal weather?

Here in Arizona, it's been raining a lot lately. More than usual. And lately the rain storms have been lasting a couple of days. And during the summer we got more dust storms than normal, too. Has anyone else been getting strange weather? Could you please (scientific answers please) tell me why? Thanks and have a great Christmas! (Btw, I need legit answers... not "oh the world's ending" crap. xD)Has anyone else been getting abnormal weather?

During my life, I have been very much depending on the weather, first as a small boat sailor, and now, as a light aircraft pilot. Sometimes, the weather conditions have been a matter of life and death to me, so I follow it closely.



My observation is that, each year has been, the most rainy, the hottest, the driest, etc. It has something to do with probabilities. As you toss a coin, the chances that it is, head - tails - head - tails, is very small. The odd pattern is, actually, not an exception.



It has also something to do with the media. After WWII, we were to rebuild the world. The media was reflecting the general optimism of a better future. But lately, the media has become very commercial and competitive. It observes that we like to read bad news and therefore it came to the conclusion that: good news is no news!



Today, if a storm causes casualties in New Zealand, at my antipodes, I read it a few hours later, here in Norway. We then get the feeling that "the end is near." This is further used by a small group of individuals who exploit a pseudo-religion of our fears.



I could say that the weather is also abnormal, here in south Norway, because for the first time in the 35 years I have lived here (I was born in Belgium) this is the first time we won't have a white Christmas. But those things happen and I know enough about meteorology to know the causes: Strong jet stream current that brings very fast low pressures with mild air from the Atlantic over northern Europe. It can happen and it does. But when it does right before Christmas ... we don't like it! ;-) Have a nice Christmas you too, with or without snow.Has anyone else been getting abnormal weather?
OMG i have the same problem I live in the West and normally it rains like crazy but now its like all sunny and weird and normally we get a ton of snow but so far NOTHING NOT EVEN A SNOWFLAKE and yesterday it was SO sunny it was retarded.. i was talking to my friends how mother nature is a teenager again and has to many mood swingsHas anyone else been getting abnormal weather?
I live in northwest Alberta Canada and by now we should have about 3ft of snow at -20C temperature, but we had one snowfall back in November and then it was above freezing the day after up until yesterday where it snowed again but it still was only like 5 degrees below freezing.
