I lived in a warm place too and moved to PA for college as well, you should get many thick clothing and jackets. it snows from about December to about the beginning of April..... if you will be driving there get a 4x4 or a front wheel drive car, a shovel, deicer and gloves.... you should also get a snowboard or skies if you do any of those, it's kind of something everyone there does during the winter time, there ain't no beach to lay down on, but there are mountains to slide down by. Get ready man for an eternity of snow storms, because this year will be a tough winter :)Moving from AZ to PA, what to bring for cold weather?
i have a simliar story, i just moved from AZ to MN last summer. I was not prepared for the winter lol. You need hoodie sweaters, and a heavier coat. I wouldnt necessarily suggest a coat like youd use for snowboarding or playing in the snow, just something more casual. Something that goes well below the waist. Thats for the cold winter. But yeah, get some hoodie sweaters, and some long sleeve shirts. As far as shoes go, i still dont have winter boots, and to be honest you dont really need them. Even my brother who has lived here in MN his whole life doesnt have winter boots. Normal shoes are fine.
Youll want gloves too. some light gloves will do you good. I have a pair with a little mitten cover. they go from mittens to gloves, so when im indoors or something i can use my fingers to function like a normal human being rather than always being locked in a mitten lol.Moving from AZ to PA, what to bring for cold weather?
Well, sweatshirts, jeans, and light longsleeve shirts if your doing the move in the summer. But youll eventually want more heavier sweaters for the winter, it gets pretty cold. I'd also recommend purchasing a rain jacket, maybe from the north face they make the best ones.
Good luck with the move!
