Why do so many people move to Phoenix and Arizona?

I mean, it's just a desert, and hotter than hell. There's hardly any rain or snow and nature can't even take it's course there. It just makes no sense to me. I know a lot of people like hot weather, but personally I like cold weather a lot better. Why do so many people move to Phoenix and Arizona?
From my perspective, Arizona can kiss my skinny A S S! There is absolutely no way I would move to a state in which a desert shrouds the state. I love cold for than hot, and in Arizona you certainly wouldn't find that. Just HOT HOT HOT! I live in North Carolina and it's so beautiful. I would come here instead. I got proof as well! Our population has increased by 16.7, or 1,340,334 people, which is A LOT. The population was 8,040,550 in the 2000 census, and in 2009 it was 9,380,884!

What do you think of that? EAT THAT ARIZONA! And the strange lady above me that likes to talk about Arizona and how they have ski resorts in spite of the fact that they have 100 degree temperatures like every single day! I know I'm exaggerating but I am indeed correct. Pretty smart for a 13 year old huh?
It is an amazing state. North carolina can suck a big one. Phoenix is rated #6 in top 50 cities by population. Charlotte NC is #17. Phoenix's pop. went up 34.3% from 1990 to 2000. It only gets to 100 degrees in the middle of the summer during the day. At night it gets to like 60. Winter day time 20.

Well first of all Arizona is a very diverse state when you consider its geography. We have everything but an ocean. We have all four seasons in the state of Arizona. It is not excessively hot in northern AZ. Phoenix is the cultural mecca of the state and the state capital. Phoenix has numerous sources of entertainment attracting the top names in the field of entertainment from all over. We have lots of museums. It isn't excessively hot here all year long - just maybe four months. We acclimate to the heat and everything is air conditioned. We just had an almost perfect winter and we are having an amazing Spring now. The weather has been just perfect with a slight breeze. I love it here. We are not JUST a desert. If we miss the snow and ice (WHO WOULD!) we just drive 2 hours north to Flagstaff and enjoy Snowbowl where they get tons of snow. The White Mountains in Arizona also has Sunrise Park, another ski resort.
Is real chilled here in tucson. If it gets too hot I always head to mnt lemon during summerWhy do so many people move to Phoenix and Arizona?
